Mount Maunganui-based Syos Aerospace was crowned the PwC Hi-Tech Company of the Year at the 30th annual NZ Hi-Tech Awards on Friday at Wellington’s TSB Arena. Syos develops technology used in border patrol, disaster response, agriculture, and environmental monitoring. In April, the company signed a deal worth $67 million to supply drones to the UK, which will then be provided to Ukraine. A panel of over 80 local and international judges praised Syos’ global growth and innovation, saying, it has shown “that you c...
